In the last 3 months I’ve moved house, started a renovation project on said house (not personally but the builders are in) started a PhD and gone part time at work.  I was also foolishly under the impression that as my new role is predominantly from home and by eliminating the daily commute, that I’d have plenty of time to go to the gym and write entertaining, yet witty, blog posts, whilst completing my doctorate dissertation and project managing the extension.

Not only has my gym going being extremely sporadic, but I’ve spent the majority of the last 3 months trying to work out how to use wordpress!  It’s fair to say that I’m just not a computer person, nor do I have any patience with anything I don’t 100% understand. So it’s been a real test of perseverance, online tutorials and relaxation techniques.

Needless to say – I’m now back on track with the aim to update more regularly and now that I have a kitchen again, I’m feeling slightly less stressed and more able to concentrate on something other that paint colours, sockets and door handles!

So here it is, the first of (I hope) many more ‘columns’.  I’m sure I’ll get to grips with this as I go so I thought, instead of trying to get the layout perfect and work out what widgets I’m after – I’ll just crack on!  A drilling has just started downstairs, the toilet is out of action and I’ve got a deadline, but I’ll be back!Image
